I’m really excited to let everyone know i’m launching an 8 part podcast next month called Golden: A Brief History of Dance Music. I’ll be meeting some of the people who’ve paved the way for dance music as we know it today. Adamski, Judge Jules, Brandon Block and Norman Jay MBE are just some of the names lined up to take part. So yesterday I managed to tick off another mudder…this time it was the Midlands! Thanks to everyone who dragged me round the 10 mile course. I am bloody stiff today, but we’ve raised loads of money for Help For Heroes which was the whole point. I’m off for a massage and a cold bath! Nice one

On May 18th 2019, I’m going to be running Tough Mudder with Help For Heroes, at Belvoir Castle. They’re an incredible charity that work with military veterans and their families, both physically and mentally, but also on their journey back to civvy street. I spent the day at one of their recovery centres to see what the money we raise will be spent on. And I also got a chance to have a chat with a few people who directly benefit from their vital work. We’ve just finished another incredible Brits Week. This year we had shows with The 1975, Nick Mulvey, You Me at 6, and so many more. In the last 10 years, over £4 million has been raised at these gigs! All that money goes directly to kids in conflict zones that need our support. It is making a direct change in the lives of people who need it the most. A huge thanks from me and everybody who works bloody hard on making this all happen.

I’m really looking forward to hosting the backstage area for Radio X again this year. I’ll be chatting to all the bands and artists as they arrive on the Blue carpet, and getting the winners reactions as they come off stage. I’ve been in Europe over the last few weeks filming the first 2 episodes of the Street Circuit Weekender with Avis and Mercedes. What a trip it was. Some serious driving has been done. I’d never driven along the South of France before – It really was the trip of a lifetime. I’m dead chuffed to be back on the Brits Academy for next year. The Academy is made up of lots of people from across the music industry. The Academy are the people who vote for the winners each and every year. Blame us when Little Mix don’t win, sure. It’s a tough year this year. Voting takes place in December. The Brits are back at the O2 in London on Wednesday 20th February 2019.
